ABOUT AARON SIDDIKY
Aaron Siddiky is an American entrepreneur, leader, and computer scientist. He is a freshman at Columbia University concentrating in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Financial Economics. On campus Siddiky is affiliated as an Analyst with Columbia Venture Partners, and holds membership at Columbia Financial Investment Group, and Columbia Quant Group.
Aaron is the founder and chief executive officer at AxaBlock LLC, the award-winning software company using financial incentives and behavioral economics to gamify social media addiction rehabilitation. In 2024, AxaBlock was the top 90 Minnesota Start-Up's as a semifinalist in the largest state-wide start-up competition in the nation, the 2024 Minnesota Cup. In 2023, the company was Minnesota DECA's Start-Up Business Plan State Champion AxaBlock became the Minnesota Start-Up Business Plan State Champion.
As a researcher, Siddiky concentrates in artificial intelligence and machine learning. During the pandemic he developed a facial recognition based attendance system model for video conferencing sites like Zoom and Google Meet. His model automated the manual attendance taking process for professors by utilizing facial recognition. By extension, the program maximized digital learning productivity and increased lecture time. While this line of development has merit, data privacy legislation confines its commercialization. Alongside a deep rooted interest in research, he works as a frontend development intern at Aerospace Advisory OSC, a boutique aerospace consulting firm in Minnesota.
Across his various involvements, Aaron is a strong believer in research, entrepreneurship, and innovation. He is committed to making a positive change in the world.
